Chess and Rummy are two most famous games. Individuals have enjoyed playing both the games for many years, and now these games are available in the online version too. There are some similarities and differences between these two wonderful games which people are not aware of.

Similarities:
  1. Both games are fun to play.

  2. Both, Chess and Rummy involves Kings, Queens etc though their role are entirely different in both the games.

  3. Chess and Rummy are enjoyed in all parts of India. In fact, Chess is invented by Indians. Chess is also known as “Shatranj”

  4. Both of these games are considered as a game of skill. Strategic planning is required to play chess.

Differences:
  1. Chess can be played with a maximum of 2 players whereas Rummy can be played between more than 2 players.
  1. Chess is a brainy game which creates a serious aura whereas Rummy is kind of a social game and fun to play.
  1. Playing chess requires serious mindset. It creates a serious atmosphere. Whereas Rummy on the other hand keeps the atmosphere light and is comparatively more entertaining.
  1. Online gaming sites gives a lot of offers which gives you a chance to earn money. Whereas Chess on the other hand doesn't come with such offers.
  1. Chess does not have any variations to it but what makes Rummy interesting is that it has a lot of variations. So, playing Rummy is never monotonous.
  1. Understanding the rules of chess is not as easy as Rummy. Chess needs a lot of practice to expertise but playing Rummy is very easy.

  2. Chess is a very time consuming game. Whereas playing Rummy takes less time.
  1. Playing Chess needs a lot of concentration whereas winning at Rummy needs luck by your side.
